We are one of the handful of UK suppliers of floating structures that can manufacture your entire solution in house. This enables the company to maintain complete control over production and quality.

The growth of the company has been fuelled by the demand for its quality pontoon systems which it has been manufacturing since 1991.

With our Quality Assurance System it ensures that every stage of the manufacturing process is monitored and controlled. The end result is a more efficent company which keeps its customers even happier.

Solent Marine Ltd was founded in June 1991 by Victor Simmonds to manufacture floating structures.
From day one Solent Marine were manufacturing pontoons and cradles from a small but efficient production yard in Hamble on the UK South Coast.
In the early days the majority of business came from local customers on the Hamble River. Today Solent Marine addresses a World Wide market.

Being a family run business Victor retired in 2011 and his sons took over the company to where it is today.
The company acquired a new production facility in 2015 for its dedicated and hardworking team - it now has 65,000 square feet in which to manufacture and continues to thrive.

Victor Simmonds comments, "While our business was small I could personally be involved in every aspect of manufacturing and delivery of our solutions. This was vitally important to me as I feel my name goes out on every solution this company delivers.
